The rooms

We have four rooms, numbered 101 to 104:

• Room 101 seats up to 16

• Room 102 seats up to 12

• Room 103 seats up to 8 — our smallest, good for a one-to-one or a small meeting

• Room 104 seats up to 24 — in the basement, and it clears for practical sessions, so it suits assessment days and hands-on training

A simple way to choose: up to 8 people, Room 103. Up to 12, Room 102. Up to 16, Room 101. Up to 24, Room 104. For bigger or flexible groups, we have several rooms and the team can advise on the best combination.

Who books the rooms

The rooms are used for training days, workshops, assessment days, meetings and study sessions. Trainers run day courses here — care training, first aid, phlebotomy and similar — and the space suits Saturday schools, community groups and anyone who teaches around working hours. If you bring a group together on a schedule, the practical question is the same: does the room fit the number of people and the way you work?

The prices

Weekday rates (9am to 5pm):

• Room 101: £17.50 per hour

• Room 102: £17.50 per hour

• Room 103: £15 per hour

• Room 104: £22.55 per hour

Outside those hours — weekday evenings, which run until 10pm, and weekends — rates are higher: £25 per hour for rooms 101 and 102, £22.50 per hour for Room 103 at weekends, and £30 per hour for Room 104.

For a standard full day, 9am to 5pm: £140 for Room 101 or 102, £180 for Room 104.

Bookings are in whole hours. A start before 9am is charged at the higher outside rate.

What's included

Included in the rate: whiteboard, wifi (tested at around 100 Mbps), pads and pens, power sockets, and a wall clock.

Available as extras: projector £20 per day, flipchart £15 per day, tea and coffee £2 per person per day.

Parking

Free council car park right next door: Somerset Road Car Park. Free 8:30am to 5:30pm, £1.40 per hour outside those hours.

Opening hours

Weekday evenings until 10pm and weekends 9:00 to 5:30. Most local venues shut at five — if you run classes, workshops or study groups around working hours, or on a Saturday, we're open when you need us.

What to ask before you book

A short checklist when comparing venues:

• Does the room seat your group? Ours seat 8, 12, 16 or 24.

• Bookings run in whole hours. An 8:30 start books as 8:00, and the pre-9am hour is charged at the higher outside rate.

• Do you need a projector (£20 per day) or flipchart (£15 per day)? Both are extras, not included in the rate.

• Tea and coffee is £2 per person per day.

• Parking is free next door until 5:30pm, then £1.40 per hour.

• Booking five or more days? Ask about block-booking discounts.
